(Don’t) skip the tutorial
As we observed how players navigate through a new game they start playing, we realised that there are mainly two types of people: the ones who would first learn about the game, its settings, special features, control keys, etc… and the ones who would dive straight into the game and learn as they go. When we developed The Kaiyo Mission, we thought of a tutorial that would engage all players so that they could have a better experience of the game and what it has to offer. We made the tutorial relatively short, yet long enough to allow the players to get a glimpse of what The Kaiyo Mission is about and how to play this deep-space, underwater, exploration game. The tutorial teaches you how to move, how to engage in a conversation, how to take pictures and how to use the Paused Menu for example. There is also an option to access the full credits from the tutorial in case the players want to learn even more about The Kaiyo Mission before starting to play.
In the end, whether you play or skip the tutorial is up to you. Choose what you prefer, and you feel more comfortable with, no judgement here and we simply hope you have an amazing experience playing The Kaiyo Mission 🙂.
